The Terrapins of Maryland will face the #23 Wolfpack of NC State in the 2022 Duke’s Mayo Bowl on December 30th at Bank of America Stadium. The game is scheduled to kick off at noon ET and will be broadcast on ESPN nationally.

Tickets for the game are available on Ticketmaster.

The Duke’s Mayo Bowl, which is owned and operated by the Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF), is entering its 21st year and will welcome its 1,000,000 fan in attendance. Additionally, the game has reached nearly 60 million households, and produced an economic impact of close to 300 million dollars since its start in 2001.

“We are thrilled to welcome these two teams and their fans to Charlotte. It is our goal to be the most fan and player friendly bowl game and we look forward to having a game and bowl week that will be a celebration of the Terrapins, the Wolfpack and mayonnaise,” said Danny Morrison, executive director of CSF. “Our team, Duke’s Mayo, and our partners have been planning all year and we know that it will be an amazing experience for all involved.”

This is the third year with Carolinas-founded Duke’s Mayonnaise as the title sponsor. The partnership with Duke’s Mayonnaise, a staple in southern recipes for over 100 years, also includes the Duke’s Mayo Classic which featured N.C. A&T and NC Central this past September.

“We’re looking forward to hosting Maryland and NC State in Charlotte for this year’s Duke’s Mayo Bowl after great seasons by both teams” said Joe Tuza, President of Duke’s Mayo.  “We love bringing our fans together through one of our favorite southern traditions – college football.  In addition to what we know will be some great football, we’ll be creating memorable experiences for the teams, devoted fans, and the city of Charlotte, as well as anyone tuning in from home.”

This is the 71st meeting of the two schools with the current record being 33-33-4. The two teams last met in 2013 when Maryland won by the score of 41-21.

Maryland enters the Duke’s Mayo Bowl with a 7-5 record, 4-5 in the Big Ten. While NC State is 8-4 with a 4-4 in the ACC.
