Art with Air presented by Truist supported local and Western North Carolina artists by providing opportunities to showcase their basketball-inspired work and engage with the community throughout the week of the 2024 Jumpman Invitational.
Ahead of the 2024 Charlotte Invitational, CSF and Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation unveiled a newly refurbished tennis court at L.C. Coleman Park in west Charlotte. Tennis pros Sloane Stephens and Madison Keys delivered the first serve and announced a partnership with Black Tennis Connect to bring tennis programming to marginalized communities.
The Sideline Experience connects Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students with hands-on experience in sports journalism, broadcasting, photography and digital media. Through workshops with industry professionals and opportunities at CSF events, students develop practical skills and gain exposure to potential careers in sports media.
The Dick Vitale Invitational presented by Belk donated $100,000 to the Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Fund at the V Foundation. The gift supports pediatric cancer research nationwide, building on more than $107 million in grants awarded by the V Foundation to leading pediatric cancer scientists across the country.
CSF hosted a free basketball clinic for CMS middle and high school girls at West Mecklenburg High School. Athletes received instruction from Johnson C. Smith University’s women’s basketball team, with special appearances by NC State’s Zoe Brooks and Khamil Pierre. Each participant also received two tickets to the Ally Tipoff.
