The Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF) announced record-breaking results for 2025, with total event attendance surging 72% to 362,612 fans and estimated economic impact spending rising 30.5% to $118.25 million, according to figures compiled by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority.

A landmark partnership with the Savannah Bananas was the centerpiece of the foundation’s banner year. Two sold-out Banana Ball events at Bank of America Stadium drew 148,000 fans marking Charlotte as one of the first cities to host the popular baseball-entertainment experience in a professional football stadium.

“I’m incredibly proud of the impact that our organization had on our community,” said Charlotte Sports Foundation CEO Will Pitts. “Having a chance to reach over 360,000 fans through the various events in 2025 was really special.”

Additional highlights from 2025 include:

  • Tax revenue increased 19% to $3.2 million
  • 74,100 hotel room nights booked across all events
