The Novant Health Charlotte Marathon has a new look and a new invitation to go with it. Today continues the launch of an all-new era for one of the Queen City’s most beloved race events, beginning with a fresh identity that honors the marathon’s roots while embracing what comes next.

At the heart of the rebrand is a simplified palette built around the event’s signature aubergine, now paired with a striking chartreuse and a deep navy. A bold athletic “Charlotte” script anchors each race logo across the Marathon, Half Marathon, and Chick-fil-A 5K, alongside the Novant Health mark. Look closely and you’ll spot a crowned “o” tucked into the lettering: a small, knowing nod to both the city’s royal nickname and the community that shows up every year to run it.

The new brand platform is called For Those Who Run, an intentionally inclusive statement designed to unite everyone who commits to the journey toward the start line, whether they’re chasing a PR, completing their first 5K, or simply showing up. It’s a phrase that sees the runner, the walker, the nervous first-timer, and the seasoned pavement-pounder all in the same breath.

As Charlotte continues to grow and evolve, the marathon is growing with it while staying true to what makes race day here feel like a celebration of the city itself. This rebrand is a tip of the crown to that legacy and a confident step into what’s ahead.
