The Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF) announced the election of Luke Kissam, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Albemarle Corporation and Jon Pollack, Special Consultant to Belk to its Board of Directors.
“We are thrilled to have Luke Kissam and Jon Pollack join the Board,” said Johnny Harris, Board Chairman of the Charlotte Sports Foundation. “Both bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm that will help with the continued growth of CSF.”
Kissam has served as the CEO of Albemarle since 2011 and was instrumental in moving Albemarle’s corporate headquarters to Charlotte earlier this year. An avid sports fan Kissam looks forward to working with CSF to bring large sporting events to Charlotte.
“The Charlotte Sports Foundation is working hard to have a positive economic impact on the region, while offering incredible opportunities to celebrate and support the people of Charlotte,” said Kissam. “It will be an honor to serve on their Board of Directors”.
Pollack currently serves as a Special Consultant to Bthamelk and previously served as Executive Vice President of Sales Promotion, Marketing and eCommerce for the company. Pollack has been an important part of Belk’s sponsorship of the Belk Bowl and the growth of the Belk brand nationally.
